If I signed my dd214 how long until psd will give me a discharge date?

I signed my discharge notification and my evaluation papers and legal told me it has to be sent to psd and theyre the ones that give me a discharge date. How long will it take for them to tell me that date? And should I go by in a week to see if legal knows anything?
