Consumer Advice Question?

I've returned a product back to the supplier as the manufacturer has stated to send it back for full replacement. The supplier wants to test the product and so far state there is no fault (fault is intermitternet). If I've given them the RMA information from the manufacturer can I enforce them to send it back or swap it (like for like or different model). The item is 4months and 2 weeks old.
