Addendum to deleting browsing history?

I asked this question about deleting browsing history from a laptop (in case it makes a difference) The laptop has been used before me by other employees and the only transgression here is stumbling onto sites (maybe hanging around a little) So is everything browsed contained within the unit itself, and its hard drive?
